CKNNIGERIA= It was while the couple was managing the crisis resulting from the child’s death that Mr. S stumbled on the rape video and possible answer to mystery of the HIV infection.

If his wife was cowed by the threat, the angry husband was unfazed and determined to bring the harbingers of his misfortune to justice. He immediately dragged his wife to the Rivers State Police Command’s Criminal Investigation Department. The case was assigned to an inspector of police identified as Mr. Eneje..

The victim was taken in by the police for interrogation after which she identified three suspects as part of the gang. A fourth suspect narrowly escaped and was still at large at the time of this report. YES I REPORTED THEM TO POLICE.].

He claimed that he was victimised because of his insistence on bringing his wife’s abusers to justice. He said the threats were so serious that he and his wife had to temporarily relocate to the Police Headquarters during the investigations. CKNNIGERIA/= Nevertheless, while the case winds painfully through prosecution, the suspects, Ukulor, Nwosu and Nmezi, have returned to their normal lives, much to the angst of Mr S, his distraught wife and members of the human rights community.

I did everything I could to make her happier, healthier with the help of God. From the first day of the pregnancy till the day she gave birth to my baby we were living happily, but nobody knew a destroyer lived in my house but GOD stood by me to show his power against the evil people who never saw their fellow human beings as their brothers and sisters.  The pregnancy never disturbed her any day even though she was harmed by the evil rapists, God still watched and kept her stronger.

 We were travelling to Imo state every week for worship and we really received favor from GOD. 

She had the assistance she needed about birth and pregnancy from experienced women who showed us love, even when she complained of body change a midwife freely devoted her time to assist her, and she never thought of not being a candidate of home birth any day. I thank the midwife for  spending more time with her, giving her information about taking care of her pregnancy, and it gave her confident. She never had pregnancy problem from the first month to the last month she delivered the child. My GOD did it for me.

God provided a Douala that took care of her emotional and comfort issues of birth and she gave birth successfully on the 14^th April 2011 before 16^th April 2011 the “due” date. The scan she did stated 16^{th April} 2011 as the due date but she delivered the baby on the 14th of April 2011, it was the wish of God and I believed, because on the 13^th April 2011 we went to church at Imo state from Port Harcourt and the labor started inside the church after praying for her in the church. We had earlier said something about her anti natal tests result which the doctor kept secret to himself. Today I have seen a good reason why the doctor was suppose to give us the result of her test.  We are now living with the consequences of the choice made by the doctor and the risks we took by not going to another hospital for antenatal.

 Though it was God’s wish, he demonstrated his power upon his children. During delivery there was a woman who was with her in labor, she helped her to find her best way through labor, and she successfully gave birth to a baby boy.

 After the birth of the baby she became more social and stronger. I was even invited by her to be there while she was pushing her baby into the world and my presence even gave her courage for the successful delivery. All the rules for a better diet and healthy body during her pregnancy worked for me, but I didn’t know something was hidden somewhere. We still thank God for everything.
In the first few days she gave birth to the baby, the baby was eating baby food eg milk before my wife started breastfeeding the baby. Two months later, we took the baby to church for child dedication in the same church where the labor stated. During this period, the baby was still sucking breast and strong, though this breastfeeding period later exposed the hidden illness in the baby’s body. We experienced symptoms like cough, fever, boil, crying more than before and sleepless night from the baby. I never thought of experiencing the unpleasant incidents discovered by a doctor

 

 after dedicating the child to God, It was one of the ways God used to expose the rapists and some hospitals for people to learn.

The question is:

1.Why did the symptoms appear only on the baby?     

2. Will the virus affect the women that assisted during labor? 

3. Did you see the hands of God and how? 

CHILD BEARING RULES WOULD HAVE SAVED MY BABY…..SAYS VICTIM.

  The option of the poor during child bearing rules campaign was we must be patronizing the quacks with reasons.

 He stated some reasons……., 

 If we manage to send our wives to the well equipped hospitals in the urban areas, the facilities available in the well equipped hospitals favor only the rich not the poor because of the cost of treatment and the unwanted human attitudes which are common in our society. The privileged workers in our hospitals capitalize on their positions to enrich themselves thereby making it difficult for the poor to benefit from the rules of child bearing. Even though the government said free medical care for everybody, it is never free and no medical team  to see that couples follow the rules of child bearing. So our option is to use the local midwives for our wives to give birth. Government should extend well equipped hospitals to the rural areas and fish out the corrupt medical doctors hindering the effort of their campaigns for the rules of child bearing for couples.  I agree with the rules as tool to achieve good health for families because if I had followed the rules, I would have known the danger that claimed the life of my baby before the birth of the baby. If there is anything that can be done to help the poor couples in the rural areas and poor people generally by addressing some of the factors I mentioned that hinder the poor from following the rules of child bearing it will go a long way to solve health problems we are experiencing today in our society. If there is no good health there is no human being.

 My wife was suppose to give birth on the 16^th of April the due date stated by the scan doctor but she gave birth on the 14th April in a quack hospital because of the factors I mentioned earlier, and they could not even ask of her antenatal medical test result and she delivered the baby.  The baby’s life would have been saved if we had the opportunity to lay hands on her medical fitness result before the birth of the baby. 

The question is:

1.Can these poor people in the rural and urban areas follow these rules for family good health and how?

2. Are there government specialist HIV screening team in our rural areas to save unborn babies because the virus is not only in our urban area?

If anybody is thinking that the rules are not important and HIV is not real he/she should look at these results and rethink. My wife was admitted in a hospital for antenatal on the 3rd of December 2010 and was tested of HIV virus on 7^th December 2010, the Doctor released the result on 11^th August 2011 after the birth of the baby. The baby was admitted in another hospital on the 4^th August 2011 and the Doctor discovered the HIV virus on the  5th  August 2011 and released the result that same day. The antenatal doctor released her result on 7^th August 2011 while the virus was discovered through the baby on the 5^th August 2011 after the birth of the baby.

1. How would this type of incident help the poor to attain good health?

2. Will secrecy help to achieve the objectives of campaign for child bearing rules?

The Rivers state police command said they have unraveled the celebrated gang rape case which allegedly took place at Abia State University. I quiet agree with this they arrested three persons and I and my wife saw them. The River State police command said it happened in Obite-Etche and the victim was also found to be married. The rapists have been charged to magistrate court 9, Port Harcourt.

 It is also true I agree with the police. The name Mr. S is not my real name, the Mr. S was used because i didn’t want to reveal my identity initially, but now we are out and well known.

They also said the identities of the suspects are Uchenna Ukulor, Chizoba Nwosu and Nwozuo Nmezi. While the fourth at large. Rivers State police command did not make a mistake, the video was played before both parties and it was clearly established that the arrested suspects committed the crime.

It is true they did not deny even when my wife asked them to tell the police what she did to them that prompted the devilish act on her. The suspects are not my cousins, though two out of the gang members are my uncle’s children.

Abia State Chief Secretary to the Governor commended the police for doing a good work. He also rebuked some of the national assembly who never investigated the matter before jumping into conclusion. This shows the degree of the incident. THEY WANTED TO KNOW IF THE VICTIM WAS THEIR DAUGHTER.

Since the suspects were taken to court did any of those people that called for the victim to come out asked of how we are fairing or how the matter is being handled.  This is the world for you. God is watching. Nobody will leave forever on planet earth, we must go back to the creator one day. We are not worried because we have the Almighty God by our side.

Abia State Police Commissioner Responds To Abia Gang Rape Scandal

On Thursday September 22nd, SaharaReporters learned that an investigation into the  Abia gang rape scandal would not be pursued unless the victim came forward.

In an interview with Bala Abdulahi Hassan, the Abia State Police Commissioner, SaharaReporters discovered that Commissioner Hassan was relying on Internet sources to discover any leads in the case, therefore he and his staff were also dismissing the rape. This was a week after  federal minister and the National Human Rights Commission claimed serious investiagtions had begun to unravel the perpetrators of the video-taped  rape.

“I went to Google to get the names they provided. Nobody reported to me at Isokuato Police Station and nobody reported to me at Uturu police station. I’m just hearing the matter as a very hypothetical matter,” said Commissioner Hassan.

The video, which has gone viral on the Internet and social media websites shows an unidentified female being raped by five males. During the attack the victim begged for the males to stop and eventually her explicit cries turned into pleading for death.

The perpetrators are heard speaking in Igbo language and in English. During the attack, the rapists even totted around their names “'Do you know who Zaki is?' Other names mentioned were Chisom, Uchenna and Ifeanyi.

On Thursday September 23rd, SaharaReporters released a story identifying Justin Ogu and Jonah Uche, two student attending Abia State University, as alleged participants in the crime.

Regardless as to the names and information heard from the actual video, the Abia state government, along with Abia State University Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Ude Nkwokeocha have stated that the rape did not happen on the Abia State university campus.

“It is possible that the crime happened in Okigwe because they have hostels in Okigwe, said Commissioner Hassan. I check with the registrar of the names of the students to get them interrogated [in] relation to the incident. If we don’t get the names of the students then we have hit a brick wall. So maybe it may have happened and not involved students of that school. There are so many theories.”  

Commissioner Hassan, not realizing his conflicting responses also said, “when I started getting these rumors about two/three days ago, I called the CID BOSS, who had no clue to the claims and he then called the DPO [at] Isokwato and Uturu who both had no names in their records.
 “As a matter of fact the case was an extemporaneous prevarication.” Hassan added.

Asked if anyone within his jurisdiction had watched the circulating video, he said “no!” He then explained the procedure by which someone can report a rape case. “As police commissioner, I rely on the reported crime I see in my crime diary.” He said.

In this particular case after checking the state police official crime diary he found nothing.

 A few hours after this interview was conducted, the police commissioner claimed two students were arrested, but he refused to give the full names of the suspects, only giving their aliases as "Zaki" and "Emeka".

SR: Any progress on regards to this rape case. Three of the students have been found to be Abia state university Students. And you have located. I want say you. But this is what we are hearing from the Federal Government that they’ve located where the crime scene where the rape actually took place. Do you have anything that you may want to share with us?

Hassan: …….not too my knowledge. I have sent the assistant commission of police)(CID) to Uturu since morning but he is not yet back.  And me to, I went to Google to get the names they provided because nobody reported to me at Iskuato Police Station and nobody reported to me at Uturu police station and nobody reported to me at the State CID. And me to, I’m just hearing the matter as a very hypothetical matter. From the information on Google, I send the state CID to go and make a follow up. I’m sure within the next one hour he will be back. I check with the registrar of the names of the students to get them interrogated to the relation to the incident. If we don’t get the names of the students then we have hit a brick wall. So maybe it may have happened and not involved students of that school. There are so many theories.

SR: Compo, are you not aware that the federal govern and the human rights commissioner are on the ground in the States and actually in Uturu and they are the ones who fished out the names of the perpetrators?

Hassan: the names they fished out are the names I fished out of Google myself.

SR: So what you are saying is the state police command is not officially aware that there are people from Abuja on the ground working. This is a little bit interesting.

Hassan: It’s our duty; we are they people on the ground. If there are people from Abuja here to make an arrest they are suppose to report to me before they enter the city (Uturu). But I have sent my men as early as 8 this morning and they are working with the University Authorities. They have not reported back to me. I am waiting for them in the office. But no matter how late they will tell me how far they have gone with the University authorities and how far they have gone with those names. Whether they are existing or hypothetical names. And if there are existing names, then whom do we accost? It is possible that we will see the name of the student and arrest him and if he gives an alibi that the day this incident happened I was writing an exam and then he will have cleared himself now.

SR: The point is that, first and foremost it seems that the police has just been totally uninvolved in this. At this point you are only able to get names from Google, which is interesting.

Hassan: Of course the information came from Google. Normally, the offences are reported to the police before anybody knows.  If there is any crime, Al-Jazeera will call me and say did this thing happened and I will say yes it has happened the State CID is investigating it. Any case of rape, armed robbery, kidnapping is normally investigated by the State CID.  When I started getting these rumors about two-three days ago, I called the CID boss and said such documentary he said no and then I called DPO Isokwato and he said no names in his record, I called the DPO Uturu, the station officer Uturu he said no its not in his records.
I told the people that as far as I am concerned as the CPO, it is not a reported case. The case may hypothetical as a matter of fact extemporaneous prevarication.  

SR: Can you break that down for me in law enforcement terms?
Hassan: No I will not break it down, Sahara Reporters.  It is in the Punch today  

SR: Ok so within your jurisdiction and command nobody has watched the video of the rape that is circulating

Hassan: No, Normally when a case is reported some goes into the police station and says I have been raped and we make an entry.  As the commissioner of Police I rely on reported crime in my crime diary. I check all the reports in my crime diary and saw nothing. Then I told them that it is possible that the crime happened in Okigwe because they have hostels in Okigwe. If something happened over there the city command cannot be accountable for it.
However if there is other information that they have that is concrete, because everything they are telling me that was hypothetical, was theoretical

When I went into Google today, I saw some names and I was thinking that whatever they are worth lets make a lead with these names. We went to the University and I learnt that they checked those names but I’m not yet able to confirm, I’m waiting for the State CID man to come and confirm if they have those names in their records. If their names are not in their records then it is a brick wall. Then probably we have to get the pictures from the video, and then start scanning with a computer using all the pictures in the University then we will be able to identify them. And all efforts to trace the said girl by my detectives have proved have been abortive. So if we find out that those names match any known name in the University we can arrest that person and start investigating. That is the starting point.

SR: Do you have any tools in your command to do Internet scanning and detect crime, using video?

Hassan :I use my own computer to check Google and pass those names to my CID boss and people have called me and repeat them same names.  

SR: Can you tell me the names you sent out with your detectives?

Hassan :I have left the office for the day. If you Google gang rape you will see everything there… all the names there and if a crime has indeed occurred, we will investigate.  So we are on top of the situation.

SR: Do you mind telling me your full name?

When they were arrested I started working on the video clip, and I got the result they wanted from you. It is not your fault responding the way you did because not everybody can find solution to problem like this rape video.  Nobody can hide from the presence of God. The rapists you were looking for were arrested in Port Harcourt where it happened not in that university you went to find them because they are not schooling there and they are not students of the Abia state university. They  are fraudsters and kidnappers. They also call themselves yahoo boys. The names you used to find them are not their real names. Don’t worry you tried but the rapists are from Rivers state. And they were charged to court, but asked how evidence in the file turned to bird and flew away, no decent hunter was there to shoot it down. Only God can save us in this world. We must give account of everything we are doing before almighty God.

The Abia State police command suspended investigation into the gang rape. The police command said the victim consented to the rape. Imagine this office pen investigation not investigation base on facts because my wife did not even meet with the Abia State police command.

 Somebody cannot stay in his office and conclude investigation while the victim and rapists spoke a word or meet with him. How can somebody watch video clip that lasted twenty minutes and saw only legs. Though I don’t blame the Abia State police command because the rapist were smarter than them by using Abia state university as their home while they never knew where Abia State university is located, but the police shouldn’t have accused the innocent woman for what she did not do. We are happy with such report because people can learn from such report. I would also like everybody to have a look at this picture developed from the gang rape video clip.

They also said, even if my wife(lady) in the video did not consent to the rape, they figured that she was a girlfriend to one of the cultist and must have cheated on him and insulted him hence he assembled a gang rape for her to teach her the lesson of her life.

Keep my wife out of this please, my wife has been faithful to me, she never insulted anybody in the family and she was contented with what God gave her no matter how little. She never knew Abia state, we lived in Port Harcourt. The conclusion by the Abia State police command is baseless.

The names in the media circle as Uchenna, Wisdom, Chisom and Ifeanyi are not their real names. Rivers State criminal investigation department can attest to it because they arrested the rapists in Port Harcourt and their names are with them.

Please my wife tried to fight off the rapist and she was beaten up, she pleaded with the rapist and even offered them money to let her go but they refused. When I asked her why she did not inform me, she said they threatened eliminate both of us if she should let me know, I confirmed it when they were arrested because the rest of them came after me, Rivers State police (SCID), can confirm this report. I wouldn’t blame her, she was scared. Watch the video again and withdraw your allegations against my wife.  

This incident believed to have happened in Abia State University went worldwide, but it happened in my home town Obite-Etche in Rivers State.

Please the victim is talking and you should believe my words. We are out to tell the world the truth about this gang rape. They will not hide from God and God is watching all of us. We must give account of what we are doing to our fellow human beings.

2)    How can a married woman consent to rape?

3)    Who on earth can catch a runaway criminal while in the office?

4)    Did police finally catch the rapist and are they from Abia State University?

Let me answer the last question because I am the victim of the gang rape. The rapists are not from Abia State University as they said to the world. They were arrested in Port Harcourt, Rivers State of Nigeria where the incident happened in Obite-Etche in Rivers State. My wife travelled to the village to see my aged mother of about seventy years old who is still alive suffering from the shock which affected her health terribly. What your children did affected the health of my wife, my mother and killed my son. GOD IS WATCING US.
